Meet Stephen Shein, DPT

Dr. Stephen Shein, DPT, earned his undergraduate degree in Exercise Science from James Madison University in 2018 before going on to complete his Doctorate of Physical Therapy in 2022 at Husson University. Since entering the field, he has dedicated himself to delivering individualized, evidence-based care with a strong focus on restoring each patient’s ability to lead a fulfilling, independent, and active life. He has extensive experience guiding patients through post-surgical rehabilitation, helping them regain full function and confidence. His treatment philosophy emphasizes the importance of viewing the patient as a whole, integrating both physical and lifestyle factors into the rehab Process.

Dr. Shein has pursued advanced training through the American Institute of Balance, equipping him with specialized expertise in the evaluation and treatment of vestibular disorders. He has also studied under leading experts in temporomandibular joint (TMD) dysfunction, deepening his understanding of how to treat this complex and sensitive area with precision and care. His patients benefit from a thoughtful, systematic approach that focuses on long-term outcomes and practical progress.

In his clinical practice, Dr. Shein works closely with each patient to develop clear, personalized treatment plans aimed at promoting lasting relief. He has extensive experience managing dizziness and balance issues, including Benign Paroxysmal Positional Vertigo (BPPV), vestibular neuritis, and labyrinthitis. He is also passionate about fall prevention and regularly works with older adults to improve stability and mobility, empowering them to remain active and confident in their daily lives.

Outside of the clinic, Dr. Shein enjoys exploring New Jersey’s many trails with his wife and their dog. He is an avid rock climber and enjoys staying active through a variety of sports, including pickleball and ultimate frisbee. His commitment to movement and adventure carries over into his professional life, where he aims to help every patient return to the activities they love most.
